I’ve recently been wading into the ocean of information out there about food prices - specifically how and why some sayspeculators are to blame for the current crisis and general volatility. It’s been a sisyphean task mostly, even with the advantage I have of concurrently studying macro. In the words of my 7th grade earth-science teacher, it is about clear as mud.
